Additional information
Research area
Reinforcement learning, multi-objective optimization, automated design
Florian Felten is a postdoctoral researcher in the Artificial Intelligence for Engineering Design chair. His research focuses on developing algorithms capable of automatically designing artifacts such as engineering components, heuristics, or even other algorithms, leveraging Machine Learning, Reinforcement Learning, and Multi-Objective Optimization techniques. He holds a Ph.D. from the University of Luxembourg, where his thesis on Multi-Objective Reinforcement Learning received the excellent thesis award, and an M.Sc. in Computer Science from Université Catholique de Louvain, Belgium, with high distinction. Prior to his Ph.D. studies, Florian worked at N-SIDE, a Belgian scale-up, on optimization software for the pharmaceutical and energy sectors.
