Aerospace

Current work focuses on trying to use diverse datasets of optimized aerodynamic geometries to better understand how to automatically discover novel designs. How can we predict the emergence of non-intuitive designs? What needs to be done to generalize learning across different objectives and constraints? Future work may also involve considerations for more complex fluid-structure interactions dominated by shocks or other phenomena.
