We have applied both classical optimization methods and data-driven methods to the design and analysis of various medical devices funded by the US National Institutes of Health and with our collaborators at Johns Hopkins University, the University of Chicago Medical System, The University of Pittsburgh Medical System, Childrens National Hospital in Washington DC, and Brigham Women's Hospital/Harvard Medical School in Boston, MA. This includes:

  • Tissue-Engineered Vascular Grafts for children born with Congenital Heart Disease
  • Soft Robotic Catheters
  • Robotic Prostate Surgery
